A no-budget, narrative driven music video autered for talented South African musician Vinnie Mak's track Nameless Holds No Bars

I teamed up with ‪@VinnieMakOfficial‬ a ridiculously talented musician and vocalist from my hometown, to put a story and visuals to this hauntingly beautiful track.

Introducing ‘Nameless Holds No Bars’ - the unreleased version that later become the backbone of his acclaimed (and more upbeat) track ‘Nameless’ from Vinnie's 2023 EP ‘Shades of Man’ - is proudly debuted here.

This song is beautiful - hauntingly so. Lonely, disorientating, surreal. And I wanted the visuals and story to match. Join Vinnie as as sheds the shackles and deafening isolation of modern city living and embarks on a journey of seeking beyond, ultimately returning to the Source.

Shot in and around our hometown of East London in South Africa, for both of us this shoot was a journey in of itself - a return to a city we grew up in - an inner city marked by decay as time has passed. We, like the protagonist - journeyed out of the city as the shoot progressed - and found the nature that surrounds the city limits has remained, pristine and timeless. An image of the Source.
